I often think about Bombay because when you live in Caracas it's the exact opposite hour so if here it's 1:00 am, there it is 1:00pm, so I usually wonder what people are doing there. Lagerfeld said that India is the only place in the world where poor people are chic (I know how it sounds but you know Lagerfeld), and if you think about it even beggars wear vibrant colors and jewels. I don´t wear neither of them. I have and endless supply of black dresses and that's it. And well, this is the chanelized Bombai. Enjoy, and maybe some day be able afford such pieces.

Hello people! I kind of have a lot of homework but I am still alive and free (or as free as a venezuelan person can be which is not much). The other day there was a concert of Justin Bieber here, it was crazy, I mean I used to be a stupid girl back in 7th grade (for more information read my 2009 posts) but I never said something like "I lost my virginity after a Justin´s concert" or "my mom wouldn't give me the money so I stole it and ran away with my friend" and everyone acting normally as if 13 year old girl was supposed to do this things...and well Justin? seriously? I can't think of anything gayer than him, not even homosexuality. I just can't believe how every generation is worse, it's like "that's ok. It's not like it was the most ridiculous thing in the world is to be 13 and wearing more make-up than clothes". And I am not saying I am a saint because I am not, I have some ghosts in my past like the time I wore that skirt, etc. but I am just worried about the next generations and the possibility of 30 year old grandmas and a show called 11 and pregnant.

Elle Fanning, for example, is a girl I consider beautiful. She's 13 and well, most of the time, she dresses age appropriately. Sometimes she doesn't but we can forgive her as long as she doesn't follow the path of Lindsey Lohan, so far so good!

Hello!

I had an awesome time in NYC, I took a picture with Daniel Radcliffe which was pretty exciting. I also joined my school's delegation of MUN (models of the United Nations) and I was all Hermione Granger in class, I raised my hand for every question the faculty asked...even rhetorical ones.

I am also learning French (I started using Facebook in French and I saw Amelie without subtitles) and in the three lessons I've had I learned a lot, saying "Bon jour je m'apelle Gisela" requires some serious understanding of the language.

I am learning how to drive and if you ever try to do so please PLEASE don't ask my mom to teach you unless you want to inspire Shakespeare to write the most dramatic blood-spilling tragedy in literature.

I don't understand how Gossip Girl episodes seem to be getting better and better, it's like a golden age or something besides I wanted to congratulate Serena on learning the difference between shorts and underwear.

Hello people!

I have been pretty busy with school. And by busy I mean leaving things to the night before and fooling around, but still. I have three weeks left and then, ladies and gentlemen, I WILL BE DONE. Not that my life's gonna change much, I'll do the same bloggin procrastination but in a more summery way.

One of the things I love about summer is the beach parties in the club. Which is another excuse to see the "straight-haired" girls (I don't know why Venezuelan girls hate curly hair, if one Venezuelan girl was God instead of going to hell you would have to face the horrible destiny of having one tiny wave in your hair) with questionable "beach outfits" (no, honey a BCBG sequined dress is not very summery) drinking and partying with their feet on the sand, it is also very fun to look at them the day after with the "I know what you did this summer" look.

So I hope that you all have a nice summer and travel a lot (I'll spend a few days at NYC and Orlando) and just check out the best outfits of the season.

"Woody Allen is my favorite film-maker" is a very cliche thing to say, but who else? When a friend asked me who I would invite to a dinner party if I could invite anyone the first person that came into my mind was him. He is a genious and when I grow up I wanna be a fashionable female verssion of him. I wanna be invited to fancy events and not go (cause the only thing fancier than being able to go, is not going), and have such a twisted and yet brilliant vision of life.

Lately, he has being doing lots of movies in Europe, like a lot of franchises that are way lighter than movies such as De constructing Harry or Annie Hall. They are different but I still like them very much. Woody Allen, you are God...well maybe not God but if Hollywood was a monarchy you would surely be the king.

This video is just wrong.

If I could sum it up in three words they would be what the fuck?

In the photography department they did a great job but let's talk about the bizarre everything-else!

Plot: There are three women: one looks like a person whose name Agatha (I don't know why Agatha seems like the name of an old maniac rich woman, doesn't it?) and has lived half of her life inside of a talcum powder and has trouble taking it out. The second woman would make a great hippie if it wasn't for the fact that she wears Chanel and has more money than the government of Ucrania. The third is pretty and empty. The three of them live in a very humble house with as many servants as population in China including kids and dead people. They don't get along. There's a party and the oh-so-hot Baptise invites some non-fancy friends which for the first woman is the equivalent to a Apocalypse, so then a fairy comes and everyone is fancy again...

The acting made me feel offended. Serously Karl? do you think that just because I like fashion I can stand this?

Harry Potter and Lady Gaga (Potter Face)

First Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows PART II trailer is out!
Which is very important because there might be some information in the movie about why our acceptance letter is taking so long? WHY? (Hedwig I know I'm 15 but better now than ever).
I can't wait. I am literally flying all the way to Orlando just to check out the park (and to shop) and then I am going to NYC to watch a play called How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying just because Daniel Radcliffe is in it.
Accio July 15th. Ok..my spells still need some prefecting but whatever, Neville had some trouble too and turned out to be great after all.

The second very important thing is the new Lady Gaga song "Judas" which is awesome. It is like a song that you love to dance like a crazy person until you realize that someone is recording a video. I LOVE IT. It's my favorite so far. I think our generation's music can be divided in: rock n roll that copies 60s and 70s, techno which is Disco without leggins, rap, hip hop and GAGA.

The Potter Face thing is something that I thought links Harry Potter and GAGA which are two labels that aren't usually in the same post . CAN'T READ MY POTTER FACE!

Btw, I just wanted to tell you that this is a Kate and William's wedding-free blog. Not that I didn't love the Alexander Mc Queen dress, but as interested as I am to know every little detail of the interview of how the grandmother of the dentist felt when she got the invitation, I'd like to keep this blog for the people that skipped the 10 hour long wedding special and read one paragraph of the 789 pages article on every rose magazine and then gave up.

This Easter has been fine. Today I had lunch with my family and the meal was longer than my annual list of requests for Santa. And let me tell you something: eating with my family is a very communist experience, why order an individual plate when you can order a 477 plates and get 0.0000000000001% of the food? I am not kidding, the SAT does not evaluate your fast-thinking skills, eating with my family does! you think I'm kidding? my mother's definition of "a tiny bit of lobster" is enough to feed an entire army.

In Venezuela we don't have Spring Break, we have Easter and it lasts one week. JUST ONE? yes just one.
O N E. This means that we have 6 months of school and just one week of vacations.
I know, it sucks.
But it's ok. At least I can sleep at day and party at night (the other day I realized that Hannah Montana is on every day at 3:00 a.m. I can watch it when I return from a party instead of taking of my make up yay!) and I can go to the beach club and do the exact same thing there.
Also, the other day I was thinking about the universe, which is a very complex thought for someone who doesn't know her address. I was thinking that a 4 thousand years ago the population was lower so everyone must have known how to do a lot of things, but as the population grew every person had to know more about less and science had to be every time more specific, right? so I was thinking that if a person likes biology, math, history, fashion, physics, literature and all kinds of science like I do, that person should have been born a lot of years ago right? anyway the real question is WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO? I love everything except Chemestry. Fuck Chemestry.
Anyway as I think about my future you must be wondering what is she going to show us about Chanel?
Well first, the makep of the last collection is flawless. I looked for tutorials in You Tube and nothing happened. But here it is.

Alright I did. But I changed my mind. I am not a quitter I am a do-things-while-bitching-but-still-do-them kind of girl. Which reminds me of this funny quote I read in a T-shirt the other day "Rehab is for quitters". Isn't it awesome? It was worth it to make a fool of myself (I literally stopped the guy and told him to wait because I haven't finished reading a 4-words-sentence). Although now that I think about it, rehab isn't the worse idea. Why?

Because my math teacher took away 6/20 points because he lost my exam and blamed ME about it. I got 13/20 and I could have gotten 19. And I talked to everyone about it. I speaked up. Nothing happened. Life sucks. Ice cream doesn't. But I don't have ice cream. I must serously stop this random thoughts.
Because my mom grounded me and I don't no why. I literally don't know why. I asked and she said: "you know" and I was like" no I don't".
I don't know what to do. Here in Venezuela you have to choose between studying math and biology or history and philosophy. I like all of them. I am more like a history person but I hate the "OMG! I hate math and I'm totally failing so I am taking the easy numberless subjects so I can party because it would be so terribl,e to spend more than one minute studying" spirit that drives most of the girls to choose humanist subjects.
I am deeply worried for Venezuela.

I am from Caracas, Venezuela (but no, I am not a poncho-wearing south-american aborigen). There's a communist-ish government going on, no national economy (national companies are expropiated every day) and 80% of poverty. This is the second country in the world with more inflation (the first one's main economy activity is piracy which sets the crappy-country standars quite high). Why does this happens? because venezuelans don't have the philosophy of: you study, you get A, you go to college, you work, you work harder, you get paid, you save, you buy a house and go to Paris on vacation. Instead they wait for a Messiah to fulfill their needs while they clap and whine about the working well-off classes.

I attend to a private school, I have a maid, I go to the golf-club on Sundays and to the beach-club on Spring break and I'm constantly threatened to have all that things my parents worked for me to have taken away from me. The government expropiates industries and companies because of the "public good" and well,... what kind of franchise would want to invest here? NOT ONE, which is why Zara is closing and I'll have to travell all the way to Miami to buy a decent outfit. Thank you Crappy communist government that disencourages economy!

Note to self: get the hell out of here as soon as I can.

I can't believe it's been two years. Two years since that thriteen years old fashion geek clicked the "create a blog" button. She had no way of knowing how much she was going to discover, how many amazing people were going to leave comments and how much she was going to change during theese past two years. However that girl is now fifteen and has changed a lot, now she's not wondering if she is going to make a fool of herself, she knows she is and still doesn't mind; she doesn't hesitate about wearing crazy outfits, she knows life is a crazy Sonia Rykiel runway; she stopped fearing the dancefloor and embraced a young-single-like-to-migle status and she is about to stop talking about herself in third person singular.
Although this past few weeks I haven't shown it, I serously appreciate the people who read this blog and I love reading your comments.
When I become a starbucks-drinking, sunglasses-wearing, magazine-editor I'll check out my old post, a younger me with silly thoughts and ridiculously lame problems.

This is the picture of something I am not doing: relaxing.
And there's a name from what's been keeping me from being happy: Chemistry. You see, I am really good at getting good grades (works like a balance for my crappy develpoment in sports), but Chemestry is something else. My greatest advance during Chemestry class has been counting the bricks in the wall (440 in case you were curious), I also try to move the clock telepathically...it hasn't worked.

I've always been the kind of girl whose friends see something and say "That's so Gigi" and it's ok to be weird, what's not ok is to kill pretty birds and burn them to please Ahijaloihfd (which is a god I just invented) but that'd be too weird and I'm not too weird I'm just weird enough...right? And you could tell from my previous post that I don't have a embarrasment-free life and if you weren't entirely and undoubtfully sure read this scene that actually happened in my teachers birthday: ME: Happy Birthday!
Teacher: Thank you you're so kind. Unless you seriously mess up this dialogue you will get top grades and extra credit.
Me: *no panic* So how old are you now?
Teacher: 48
My twisted mind: She didn't say 48, she said 58. Now say something that will flatter her and don't make her feel older cause that would be incredibly stupid.
Me: Wow Miss*****!, I thought you were like...53.

Anyway let's pretend teachers in my school are professional people who don't follow Severus Snape's evaluation program. I already got over that, I mean some kids are dying in Africa (like my bff told me repetedly to make me feel better) and I'm happy now because a) I wrote a guest post in a fantastic makeup and beauty blog from India, it's about trendy make up b) I was interviewed by wonderful style caster, take a look.

I know this is long but read it you'll feel better about your life.

Ok... I can't do ANYTHING right! I can't even enjoy my emo-ness and maniac-depression right! I'm serious I sit down to watch some TV after everything seems lost and I want to see something emo sad or suicidal to match my mood and Julie&Julia was on and Julia was like "hey let's spread happiness around" and I serously didn't want to get out of my emo corner. Yesterday I decided to become a vegetarian which didn't last more than half an hour (meat is a tasty tasty murder), then I took a nap and I was woken up by some mechanics that were going to break some walls outside my room so I had to cover everything with plastic so the dust wouldn't give me lung cancer. The mechanics spent half an hour waking me up and one of them swore every time he tried I answered: "Mom I won't go to the beach I'm on my period" and well... Imagine telling that to a middle age man you've never seen. Then I had to pick up some clothes so I could dress up and everywhere I went was full of men which was quite a trouble since I was wearing Calvin Klein mini mini-shorts, a Polo really really old shirt and no bra (shoot me). I looked for a place to change upstairs and downstairs and I had packed some clothing in a small bag get this: the bag fell down the stairs and everything inside it rolled down so everyone (the mass, the whole human race and some martians) could see it: there was a tampon, panties and a bra. Luckily there were about two men around which mkes it suck a little less so I picked everything up quickly and covered my face. When I finally found a place to change I did it rapidly. And went to my plastic covered room to catch up on some reading, everything was peaceful, then my mom came

Mom: I told you they were coming.

Me: No you didn't!

-Two weeks ago-

Mom: Some men are coming to fix something. Don't wander around with no bra and shorts that might as well be panties.

Me: Oh... NOW I remember!

Mom: Poor me! you had the most embarrasing afternoon a girl could dream of and I am thinking about how it affects me which I do because I care about you and you should be thankful to have such a great mother.

Hello Bombshells! I'm sorry to take such a long break but hey! I happen to have an excuse I went to the beach and it makes perfect sense: I went to the beach two days and that makes it up for not posting since about a week ago...right? If I was Frida Gustavson I'd have a perfectly agreeable excuse of course she went to Paris for a photoshoot and parties every night while I watch some TV and check out Facebook so I guess her excuses must be way better than mine.

I love my blogger/friend from Analytic Approach to Style I am also afraid of her, she's dangerously close to become a better blogger than me. Among the cool things she's done, she tagged me in this post and invited me to share my favourite 15 books.
So...

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows which was my favourite of all the saga. I loved it, posted about it and read every article in google with a slight connection to it. It's the one I adored the most, then comes the Half blood prince, goblet of fire,chamber of secrets, order of phoenix, prissioner of Azkaban and sorceerer's stone. Oh and speaking about Harry Potter here's the hottie (Toby Regbo) that's playing young Dumbledore. And the one below is the beautiful beautiful face who's playing Grindelwald (Dumbledore's bff)

Across the Universe (2007)

It's an amazing movie featuring some of the most remarkable 200 Beatles songs. Feels like an Andy Warhol parallel world meets Hair but it's really good and has a very touching love back story. Theese are some of my fav videos

Woody Allen's masterpiece, and that's saying a lot. It's about a witty neurotic middle-age couple and their up-and-down relationship. It's very funny and I highly recomend it. some of my favorite quotes:
